The current wildfire situation on Vancouver Island is causing worry and uncertainty for many. Please know that Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ Government is working closely with BC Wildfire Service and the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District (ACRD) to receive timely updates and share accurate information with our community as quickly as possible.

We also strongly encourage all citizens within the ACRD to sign up for Voyent Alert!, a free emergency notification system used by the ACRD. This service sends critical, location-specific updates—including evacuation alerts and orders—directly to your phone or email. Register at https://voyent-alert.com/ca/community or download the app through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
If you are in the Port Alberni area and are feeling uncertain, please make use of all the ACRD’s available emergency services and supports in case an evacuation becomes necessary. Evacuees can contact the ACRD’s call centre at (250) 720-2738 between 8:00am and 10:00pm for transportation assistance.
